Mountain warfare is a term used to describe conflict that takes place in mountainous terrain. Also sometimes referred to as “alpine warfare”, mountain warfare is distinct from other types of warfare that may involve mountainous terrain (see Jungle, Desert, Artic) in that conflict remains exclusively confined to a mountainous area. |
